System Features and Highlights
Control Visitor Flow
Time Slots
Operators can use several timed visit models, including fixed and variable entry times, visit duration control and overlapping time slots. The system can adopt the best model based on your capacity model - or help you define it in the first place.
Timed Inventory Release
Operators have the option to allot portion of the inventory to accommodate last-minute or same day reservations, and help manage customer expectations, especially during the initial transition period.
Priority Access
Allow your members and other priority groups to book before anyone else, set aside special inventory and create other perks that fit your business model.
Disperse Overcrowding
Encourage visitors to select less busy times or alternative days, destinations and activities through real-time daily and hourly occupancy indicators.
Private Inventory Segments
Allocate portions of your inventory to non-profit groups, commercial operators, special events and internal future use - and make it bookable through non-public link or special coupon codes.
Sliding Booking Windows
Specify how far in advance bookings can be made, modified or cancelled - with flexibility to have different rules for different groups of visitors.
Better Way to Connect with your Visitors
Automated Messaging
Create email templates and automate sending messages to your visitors before, during or after their trip. Ensure that every visitor gets post-trip survey link, pre-trip preparation email or welcome message, timed according to their visit.
Live Chat
Chat with visitors in real-time - whether they are still in the purchasing and planning process, or already on site and require assistance.
SMS Alerts
Emergencies happen, and SMS alert can be a powerful tool to convey an important message to your current, future or past visitors - whether it’s extreme weather, lost child, or another urgent matter.

4.8/5.0 for user experience
- Overall system, based on post-trip survey responses of system users in June 2020
What about changes and cancellations?
You can expect anywhere between 5% and 20% of your visitors to make changes to their reservations, such as adding more people or services, changing times, requesting a refund or correcting contact details.
Easy for your customers
ParkPass makes it extremely easy for customers to manage their own bookings by following a link in their reservation confirmation email and making the change to their reservation, instead of calling or emailing your customer service team.
And for your team
ParkPass offers backend admin tools to manage existing reservations and make new reservations for customers that require assistance. Telephone assistance can be offered via toll-free 1-800 number, and ParkPass team is available 24/7 for Level Two technical support.

ParkPass is able to combine visitor management and inventory management into a tool that actually mimics what operators are trying to do in real life

Full Inventory Control
Smooth out demand peaks
Distribute inventory across days, hours or even minutes to ensure that demand does not exceed your throughput.
Coupons and Memberships
Create unlimited discount codes to account for one-time specials, membership benefits, and other use cases.
Set rules just once
Set inventory rules that are automatically repeated based on your business requirement.
Low inventory alerts
Receive automatic alerts when inventory quantities fall down below a certain level.
Exceptions and Priorities
Exceptions and special cases happen all the time - easily apply exceptions to rules without breaking the inventory flow.
On-site bookings
Not everyone will book in advance - but ParkPass can be used to reserve and pay for the inventory on site.
Conditional rules for add-on services
ParkPass allows operators to set rules that would automatically adjust inventory of products and services based on who is coming and the time of visit. The same can work in reverse - where add-on product selection will adjust reservation time or type.
Time-based Inventory Control
ParkPass allows operators to pick and choose which products and services are available based on visitor types, locations, times and other factors.
Example: a park visitor will only see breakfast menu options available as an add-on to their visit if they are coming before 10 AM, and lunch options only if they are expected to be in the park during lunchtime.
Automatic Visit Time Adjustments
You can opt to increase or adjust visitors visit duration based on the products they are purchasing.
Example: guided hike participation add-on can automatically change visit duration from 2 to 4 hours, and shift the visit times according to guided hike schedule.
Automatic Quantity & Price Controls
Operators can give their visitors freedom to select the quantity of products they are purchasing, or automatically price these products based on number of people in the reservation.
Example: ski operator chooses to automatically assign ski lift tickets to all people in a reservation, or allow visitors to choose how many ski lifts they need.

NOT JUST FOR THE OUTDOORS:
Glenbow Museum uses ParkPass to sell tickets to regular visitors and offer free reservations to annual passholders. Both groups are using flexible time slot model, where 30-minute entry period is tracked.
On-site Integrations
Low cost license plate recognition
Use your existing IP cameras or even smartphones and tablets as license plate readers without any extra hardware cost.
Point of Sale Integration
Not ready to move to 100% digital sales just yet? ParkPass offers several integration options to accept on-site payments and keep everything in one place.
Parking Payment & Gate automation
ParkPass offers several pay parking options, including smartphone tap/scan to pay, license plate readers, and gate integrations, allowing you to automate park entry and exit.

Our tech stack
We use industry’s best practices to minimize cost and risk and bring the best experience to visitors and park operators.
Cloud-based solution
ParkPass is a cloud-based solution, which means that there is no installation and no hardware upgrades required to run the system. This minimizes overall cost of the system, and enables seamless adoption of the latest version of the software. Our mobile-friendly tools even make it possible to turn smartphones and tablets into check in terminals, and license plate scanners - at no extra cost.
Server-side rendering
All our user interfaces use server-side rendering - which means that all the complex computations are happening on our servers, and not on end-users’ machines. This improves system’s accessibility and usability, and opens it up even to older browsers and computers.
